Cargo was born January 10, 2002. He is out of Ch Double Ring Cirrus and Ch Double Ring Leading Lady. Cargo has a super abundant, dense wavy coat of proper texture and distribution. He has a very pleasing male headpiece, dark eyes, good bone size and very good movement. Cargo is a very easy going Kuvasz, who loves to play, and is eager to please.
Cargo came to live with us here at Rebel Ridge in 2003, at the age of 18 months. He started his show career in late January 2004. At the first opportunity for majors since he began showing, Louisville KY in 2004, he earned back to back majors and finished his championship in May 2004 owner handled. He ended 2004 as the # 1 Kuvasz male in breed points.
At the 2005 Kuvasz Club of America National Specialty, he was awarded the club's Conformation Performance Award (CPA).
In 2006, Cargo continued his winning ways in the show ring, and ended the year as the # 1 Male Kuvasz in both breed and all breed systems.
In 2007 Cargo earned an Award of Merit at the 2007 Kuvasz Club of America National Specialty under breeder-judge Linda Lloyd- handled by Robin! He earned several group placements in 2007, owner handled by Tony, and ended 2007 as # 1 male Kuvasz in both breed and all breed systems.
In 2008, in limited showing, Cargo once again placed in the group and for the fifth year in a row ended the year in the top 10!
In 2009 Cargo continued his winning ways by being the first Kuvasz to place in the group for the year, and this group placement qualified him for the prestigious COAA (Conformation Outstanding Acheivement Award) from the Kuvasz Club of America. He was only the 6th male in the history of the breed to qualify for this award, and the first since 2003!
Another major achievement in 2009: with six champion offspring at the time, Cargo qualified for the OS (Outstanding Sire) Award from the Kuvasz Club of America.
